Wine Dinner 2 This Dinner includes 3 courses, Appetizer, and Entrée from Wine & Beer 101 in Raleigh NC. Dessert was from Goodberry's Frozen Custard in Raleigh NC. The meal was enjoyed with my Step-mom, Dad, and Paternal Grandfather over spring break. Appetizer: Lettuce  Wine 1:    Aerobat Pinot Grigio smell: citrus, floral taste alone: acid, sour, fruity taste with food: the food cuts the sourness,  and  the bite of the wine is tamed which reveals more of the fruity flavors Dinner: Andouille Rigatoni Wine 2: Tollini Zinfandel taste alone: peppery, a little sweetness, fruity, mild dry taste with food: the wine exponentially increases the impact of the rosemary in the food, creating an extremely spicy flavor Desert: Chocolate Ice cream with sprinkles wine 3: Hardys Whiskers Blake Classic Tawny taste alone: maple syrup cough syrup taste with food: the combination cancels out the taste, when I let the combo sit in my mouth it feels like I have a mouth full of water. when I swish it

Our hearty Red Blend pairs well with savory dishes like burgers, barbeque, sausages, potato skins, and other fried foods."  -Allendalewine.com Wine Folly: pg.290 "California wine started quite humbly 240 years ago at the mission de Alcala in san diego...Today, California makes us 80% of US wine."  My Review: - Color: Very dark, almost black, very opaque - Smell: Spice, cherry - Taste: smooth, oaky, buttery, cherry - Overall: pretty good, the oak may become overwhelming after continued consumption.

Name: Broadbent Vinho Verde Country: Portugal Vintage: Unknown Cost: $10 Wine Sh op Review:  Wine Folly:  My Review: - Color: unknown due to poor lighting - Smell: Acid - Taste:  Strong Acidity, Lime - Overall: Above average, the acid leaves a nice tingle in your mouth and the lime is a pleasant favor. of the whites I've tried this is towards the top of the list but still pretty far from the peak.

This medium-bodied California red wine pairs well with grilled meats." totalwine.com Wine Folly: pg. 88 "The world's most popular wine... a cross between cabernet franc and sauvignon blanc... wines are concentrated and age-worthy."  My Review: - Color: Dark blood red - Smell: Cherry, Spice, oaky - Taste:  smooth, light dryness, a little oaky, mildly sour,  - Overall: meh, I probably will not purchase again, but I wouldn't object if offered.

My Review: - Color: light yellow/gold - Smell: fruity, acid, alcohol - Taste: smooth, full, semi-sweet, warm, acid, - Overall: Good overall experience, I might purchase it again.
